The AGM agenda includes a biosecurity workshop, information about an exciting new University of Saskatchewan American Foulbrood research project, a pollinator presentation, and an expert panel of commercial beekeepers and provincial apiary specialists. We'll also have a number of vendors including Beemaid, Levitt Safety (respirators), Dr. Lisa Cunningham (veterinarian), and others yet to be confirmed.
SBDC is providing funding to support the biosecurity portion of our agenda. Therefore all SBDC members are welcome to attend that portion of our day at no charge. Any SBDC member who wishes to stay for lunch, attend the remainder of our meeting or join the Regina and District Bee Club is invited to do so at a total cost of $25. If any SBDC members would like to be part of our expert panel, please let us know. To be part of our panel, individuals must have many years of successful beekeeping experience and have or are operating a CFIA registered facility.

Dr. F. Barry Brown and Roberta Wells of Bar2Bee Honey Ranch will lead a day long workshop that will introduce you to making beeswax candles, beeswax food wraps and beeswax body cream. Filtering/cleaning beeswax will also be discussed. The workshop will include demonstrations and hands on learning. The registration fee includes cost of materials, and you will be able to bring home the beeswax treasures you make.
Registration includes coffee and light snacks. Lunch is not included. Bring along a brown bag lunch. Bring a lawn chair. It'll be a long day if you forget!

Directions: From Albert Street and 9th Avenue North (Ring Road), drive 9.6 km (6 miles) north of Regina on Highway 6. Turn right (east) on to #734. Drive 3.2 km (2 miles) and turn left (north). Drive 2 km (1.25 miles) and turn into the driveway on the left. The driveway Y's, go straight and skip the first turn.
